Ever miss an important email in your overcrowded Outlook inbox? Try color coding emails to make important messages more eye-catching.

Color Coding Emails

Set up Outlook so that emails from important contacts show up as a specific color in your inbox. Although these instructions may vary according to Outlook versions, you can generally color code contacts by following these steps:

  1. Open Microsoft Outlook
  2. Click on “Tools”
  3. Click on “Organize”
  4. Click on “Using Colors”
  5. Choose colors for your important contacts!

Now important messages will be easily distinguishable from the other emails in your inbox!
