Southridge Technology based in Ridgefield, Connecticut, one of northern Fairfield County’s most well-respected and successful computer sales, service and support companies, has opened a second office at 246 Federal Road, Unit B12 in Brookfield, Connecticut. Joseph M. Garzi of New Milford, president and founder of Southridge Technology, announced the move into a storefront building in the Brookfield Commons office center on Route 7. Garzi stated, “We are poised to expand our reach further into Fairfield, Litchfield, and New Haven Counties in Connecticut, plus Westchester and Putnam Counties in nearby New York State, just one hour north of New York City.”
Garzi founded Southridge Technology in 2000 with the establishment of offices in the Executive Pavilion at 90 Grove Street in Ridgefield, Connecticut. “This new, prominently positioned location on Route 7 in Brookfield fulfills a long-standing desire to be in offices that allow us to put up storefront signage,” stated Garzi. “Since the day we moved into this space, even without furniture and carpenters were remodeling the space, we obtained clients from people literally walking through the front door.” Hailed as one of northwestern Connecticut’s leading computer technology firms, Southridge Technology provides services that include computer sales, service, repair and support; network assessment and analysis; virus removal, backup and disaster recovery solutions; email and Web hosting to over 600 clients, supporting more than 5,000 desktops.
In 2009, Southridge Technology was named a “Company to Watch” by CTC, The Connecticut Technology Council (www.ct.org), a statewide association of technology-oriented companies and institutions that provide leadership in policy advocacy, community building and assistance for growing companies. CTC annually recognizes companies that demonstrate potential for future success. Southridge Technology received their recognition as part of the Third Annual Cantor Colburn LLP/CCAT 2009 Cantor Colburn Innovation Pipeline Awards presented by CTC and CCAT, the Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology.
In 2008, Southridge Technology received the Microsoft Star Partner Award for Customer Service. “We obtained that status,” explained Garzi, “because out of our then-300 clients surveyed, 98% of them said they would refer our services to their clients and associates.”Today, the company has a client roster of over 600, and more than 30 Microsoft plaques and awards. “We are providing services to clients throughout Fairfield and Litchfield Counties in Connecticut, Westchester County and Manhattan in New York, and northern New Jersey.”
“We needed more space to better serve all our clients,” explained Garzi, “plus host ongoing seminars and workshops on important technology subjects and advancements. We now can do all of that, and more, in our new Brookfield location.” Garzi will oversee the Brookfield office while sustaining the company’s corporate office in Ridgefield. “The new Brookfield office is ideally located on the heavily-traveled Federal Road/Route 7 for expanding our reach further into the Litchfield and northeastern New Haven, Putnam and Westchester Counties.”
Garzi commented that, “We have many clients in the medical fields, and our primary service area is a 60 mile radius around Danbury. Currently, we have 10 technical staff members working full time, and we may look to increase that number with this move into this Brookfield office. Our services are offered on a 24/7 basis because we have the technical expertise and customer service skills to support small to medium size businesses, several of which are in operation nights and weekends.”
As a Microsoft® Gold Certified Partner, Southridge Technology Grp integrates the technologies of Microsoft, Hewlett-Packard, Dell, Cisco, and Intel to create individualized solutions for each of their clients to meet specific needs. In July of 2007, Southridge was part of the Microsoft Across America Virtual Truck Tour, and the Microsoft Across-America bus was featured at Southridge’s Danbury location Grand Opening Event. “This 42 foot state-of-the-art truck”, described Garzi, “was transformed into a hands-on, interactive environment complete with the latest technologies and integrated software and hardware solutions. Our Grand Opening guests experienced live demonstrations of solutions that could improve and grow their businesses.”
Southridge Technology Grp’s license as a Dell Gold Certified business and an HP Reseller provides the company with the expertise to help businesses and individuals use technology efficiently. “There are 150 new viruses released on average every month,” explained Garzi. “Our staff can help with virus and Malware protection to ensure that business and personal computers are protected and ensure that all of our clients have the right backup and data recovery plan in place. Nearly 70% of all our new clients believe they are effectively backing up their data, only to realize that is not the case. We can also set up and service LAN-Local Area Networks, and WAN-Wide Area Networks. Our technicians are experts in working with hardware and software created by the computer industry’s most respected vendors.
Southridge Technology Grp’s 10 technicians and 2 operational people are known to go into a business and effectively configure and secure networks without interfering with employee’s productivity. They expertly install reliable backup systems, and teach employees how to avoid losing vital data. Additionally, they provide remote and home office connectivity, plus protect businesses’ computer systems against intruders, damaging viruses and unauthorized users. With each computer sold by Southridge Technology Grp, they provide routine maintenance service and monitoring services to manage all critical devices.
